Meet The Coaches

Nicole Knight is the Director of Track and Field and has been a part of the Cobb PAL program and coaching staff since 2017. In 2019, she became an assistant head coach after successfully developing and coaching numerous youth County, State, and National Champions. A former track and cross country athlete, Coach Nicole is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach and a USATF Official. A senior-level media strategist by profession, she dedicates that same level of technical and data-driven focus to developing and training the athletes of Cobb PAL throughout the spring and summer seasons.

Coach Lee has been apart of the Cobb PAL program for over 10 years. Coaching multiple events and age groups. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his experience as a former track and field athlete. He is well known for his Cobb PAL "Flight Crew" of championship-level hurdlers and high jumpers. Coach Lee is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach and a certified USATF Official.

Taniesha Whorton, affectionately known as "Coach Tee" has been coaching with Cobb PAL since 2017. Coach Tee started competing in Track & Field at the age of 8 and completed her track career as the NCAA D1 Mid-Continent Conference Champion in the 200m indoor and outdoor. Her love for the sport lives on through her desire to have a positive impact on the athletes she gets to coach. Coach Whorton is a USATF Level 1 certified coach and a USATF official

"All gas, no brakes," is a favorite running mantra of Coach Angeline. Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Angeline has been running since the 50-yard dash at elementary school field day. She is an avid and dedicated road racer of all distances, including marathons.
She has been coaching with Cobb PAL since 2018 and is a Level 1 USATF Certified Coach.

Garrett Shedrick is a former Cobb PAL track and field athlete himself. As a product of Cobb PAL, Shedrick ran all the way to the D1 Collegiate level at Arizona State Univeristy for four years under the tutelage of Coach Dion Miller. He was offered a full ride for all four years. Garrett ran as a sprinter with the concentration on the 200 and 400 meter dash. During his final year as a student athlete at ASU, the Sun Devils’ 4x400 team came second at the national championships. Garrett Shedrick now brings his expertise from his 10 year track and field career back to where it all started

Shenise Barner has been a part of the program for the last five years. She is a USATF Level 1 coach.

Coach Victor Arnold

Coach Small was born and raised in Miami, FL, with a lifelong passion for sports to his role as a track coach. He played football at Monsignor Edward Pace High School, earning All-City and All-County honors his senior year. He earned a full scholarship to the University of South Florida, where he graduated in 2004. Coach Small joined the program in 2021 as a volunteer parent and worked his way to coach. He currently holds a USATF level 1 certification.

Lennox Clark has been a part of the program since 2012. He started coaching in 2013 and became the program Coordinator in 2015. Coach Clark helped oversee the creation of the summer program that same year. Coach Clark is a graduate of the Citadel with a B.S. in Health and Wellness. He is a USATF Level 3 Sprint coach and has coached multiple GHSA, GMSA, and GRPA state champions. Additionally, he has coached USATF, AAU, Adidas outdoor, Nike outdoor, USATF U20 All-Americans, and multiple high school record holders.
